In the fall a 1st assistant came to me asking about a lower-profile and lighter way to mount the Preston Lightranger VOU to the new CINE13 monitor. I came up with a prototype solution and, after 6 months of testing and several folks wanting them, I have done a small production run of the brackets.
This attaches to two 1/4-20 threaded holes on the bottom of the monitor and to the VOU by two perpendicular 8-32 holes. This puts the keypad for adjustments just to the right side of the monitor, as tightly tucked in as you can get while still accessing it. The VOU is as high on the monitor as it can go while allowing the battery above it to be clicked on and off - depending on the battery type you may need to use a right angle BNC.
The bracket adds an arri pin 3/8-16 mounting point as well as some 1/4-20s to replace the ones taken up.
Made out of 6061 aluminum, anodized black, the bracket includes two stainless low profile 1/4-20 screws and two socket head 8-32 stainless screws. Everything you need to mount to both devices.
