The back of the original 1303 has less than an ideal mounting system. A camera assistant friend of mine asked if I would be willing to make a better solution. What came about is this:
A 130mm (5.25") long NATO rail with 3 Arri pin 3/8-16 and 12 1/4-20 tapped holes. It uses the included stainless steel hardware to firmly attach to the back of the 1303 using the existing slots. Based on our testing it does not rotate or slip.
The possibilities are endless for mounting. Slide a bunch of NATO rail mounts onto it to put receivers, laser tapes, voltmeters, or whatever you want. Or just screw stuff straight in.
The rail is the correct length to allow a NATO mount to be slid on when the mount is installed.
Comes anodized black with all stainless hardware included (two 1/4-20 flat head screws and two smallHD t-nuts)
